At the Seagirt Marine Terminal in the Port of Baltimore, MEDCO advanced one of its largest and most active infrastructure investments.

The project upgraded the terminal to expand cargo capacity, improve operations, and add critical equipment that keeps goods moving efficiently through Maryland. Today, the terminal supports thousands of jobs, drives statewide economic activity, and strengthens the Port’s role as a vital gateway for global trade and local opportunity. In 2019, MEDCO supported a major expansion at the Seagirt Marine Terminal within the Port of Baltimore, adding dredging, cranes, and critical supporting infrastructure to accommodate rising container volumes. These improvements strengthened the terminal’s ability to move goods efficiently and keep pace with global trade demands. Operated by Ports America Chesapeake under a long-term agreement with the Maryland Port Administration, Seagirt continues to benefit from a broader series of MEDCO-supported investments in port and freight infrastructure.
