The Purple Line Light Rail is set to be a 16.2-mile light rail transit line extending from Bethesda to New Carrollton.
The project, one of the largest single bond issuances in MEDCO history, funds the development, design and construction of the Purple Line. With the additional transit line, the project enhances transportation options and creates economic opportunities across the region.
