MEDCO stewarded the relocation of the C&O Canal National Historical Park Headquarters to a historic Williamsport lumber yard site, working alongside the National Park Service and the Maryland Historic Trust to honor the property's 1700s heritage while transforming an unused industrial building into a community asset. By securing grant funding from the Department of Housing and Community Development, coordinating archeological and historical studies, and partnering with the Town of Williamsport and Washington County, MEDCO brought the Park's headquarters closer to the canal, supporting tourism growth along one of America's most visited National Parks.
