The Maryland Department of Health built a 235,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art public health laboratory to strengthen how Maryland protects and serves its residents.
This project expanded critical testing capacity, moved labs out of outdated facilities, and ensured the State maintains Centers for Disease Control and Prevention credentials—advancing faster response, stronger public health infrastructure, and greater confidence for communities across Maryland.
